Shepard Fairey’s pro-Obama posters

Shepard Fairey of Obey Giant fame supports Obama through his graphically powerful posters. Beautiful.

I would love to own this incredibly fine poster -- where may I purchase one other than on E-bay? Where does the artist live - in Echo Park where I see numerous posters of different sizes by this artist. Thank you.

Fairey did not do his homework this time. It's funny because now he is backing a guy endorsed by the CFR to further the agenda. Obama has a horrible voting record that includes, increasing troops to Iraq, more war spending, yes on patriot act, yes on waterboard torture and much more.

Shepard you are such a poser, you make a career of ripping of the stenberg brothers and calling it punk rock, now you endorse a manchurian candidate. Your campaign is true to the Obey way.

It should only read Obey Obama! then it would be more true to this devil.

The PROGRESS and HOPE posters were released in limited editions of 350 and 600 respectively. Each one was signed and numbered by the artist. Those prints are being sold (against Fairey's wishes, since they were created to support Obama's campaign) for upwards of $1,000 on ebay. Several hundred more unnumbered and unsigned prints were created for the campaign to distribute. Those are going for $10 - $30. So don't be fooled. People will try to sell you an unnumbered print for hundreds of dollars.

The new piece in the series, CHANGE, is now available on Obama's website as a limited, unsigned, numbered edition (this time 5,000 - which is not as large as it sounds, considering it is now the official campaign art). Don't let anyone scam you into buying a CHANGE poster for hundreds of dollars online. You can still get the poster for the price of a $70 donation to Obama's campaign. It's a great way to support Obama financially.
